One sketch, endless possibilities! Today's card pairs the playful patterns of Beautiful Ordinary Life Designer Series Paper with the sweet blooms from the Scalloped Blooms Bundle to create a design that's both fresh and striking.

The Designer Series Paper adds subtle interest without competing with the focal flowers, proving that the right background can make every layer shine. Today's FREE tutorial includes complete measurements, step-by-step instructions, and a full product list so you can recreate this look with ease.

measure & cut (from bottom to top):

card base:

  • Basic White Thick Cardstock: 5 x 10, scored at 5 (top)

layers (before punching):

  • Basic Black Two-Tone Cardstock: 4 1/2 x 4 1/2
  • Beautiful Ordinary Life Designer Series Paper: 4 1/4 x 4 1/4
  • Basic Black Two-Tone Cardstock: 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 (squares & flower centers)
  • Real Red Two-Tone Cardstock: 4 x 4 (squares and flowers)
  • Granny Apple Green Two-Tone Cardstock: 2 x 3 (leaves)
  • Beautiful Ordinary Life Designer Series Paper: 4 x 4 (flowers)
  • White Willow Cardstock: 2 x 1 (sentiment)

stamp (clear blocks or stamp positioning tool):

  • Stamp the sentiment in Basic Black Hybrid Ink onto the White Willow Cardstock.

cut, assemble, adhere & embellish:

  • Burnish the fold of the card base with a Bone Folder.
  • Layer and adhere the Designer Series Paper to the Basic Black Two-Tone with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and to the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Use a Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine (Standard or Mini) to crop the following:
    • Basic Black Two-Tone Cardstock: Stylish Shape 1-7/8 square die (qty 4)
    • Real Red Two-Tone Cardstock: Stylish Shape 1-1/2 square die (qty 4)
    • Granny Apple Green Two-Tone Cardstock: Scalloped Blooms leaves die (qty 2 sets)
    • Beautiful Ordinary Life Designer Series Paper: Scalloped Blooms 1-1/2 flower die (qty 4)
    • Real Red Two-Tone Cardstock:Scalloped Blooms 7/8 flower die (qty 4)
    • Basic Black Two-Tone Cardstock: Scalloped Blooms circle die (qty 2 sets)
    • Sentiment with the Scalloped Blooms label die
  • Layer and adhere the squares and leaves as shown together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Adhere the two flower die-cuts together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Adhere the Basic Black flower center with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Tie a double bow of white Baker's Twine. Adhere with Mini Glue Dots.
  • Adhere the sentiment with double-stacked Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Embellish the flower centers with white Natural Matte Dots.

Although the machines use similarly sized cutting platforms, the Hot Foil System is approximately 1/8" too wide to pass through the Big Shot. Please do not attempt to force it through a Big Shot, as this could damage the machine or the Hot Foil System.
