The NEW Stampin’ Hot Foil products are available now, and this card shows just how beautifully they can transform a simple design! The delicate gold-foiled leaves add instant elegance while the soft gray botanical images create depth without competing with that gorgeous metallic shine.

The gold-foiled sentiment—“Here’s to a lifetime of happiness”—looks especially striking against Basic Black cardstock. A few gold Adhesive-Backed Metallic Gems finish the card with just the right amount of polish.

The Botanical Glow Bundle creates the large leafy design, while the Sweetly Sentimental Bundle includes coordinating sentiments and label dies for celebrations, birthdays and many other occasions. Both bundles are part of the new Hot Foil collection and offer a 10% bundle savings.

measure & cut (from bottom to top):

card base:

  • Basic White Thick Cardstock: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4 (top)

layers (before die-cutting/punching):

  • Basic Black Cardstock: 4 x 5 1/4
  • White Willow Cardstock: 3 3/4 x 5
  • Basic Black Cardstock or Two-Tone Cardstock: 4 1/2 x 3 1/2

stamp & hot foil:

  • Stamp the Botanical Glow image in Basic Black Hybrid ink onto the White Willow cardstock.
  • Use the Stampin' Hot Foil System, Gold Stampin' Hot Foil, and Botanical Glow Hot Foil Dies to create the foiled image.
  • Use the Stampin' Hot Foil System, Gold Stampin' Hot Foil, and Sweetly Sentimental Hot Foil Dies to create the foiled sentiments.

crop, cut, assemble, adhere (from bottom to top) & embellish:

  • Burnish the fold of the card base with a Bone Folder.
  • Adhere the Basic Black layer to the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Adhere the stamped and foiled layer with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
  • Crop the sentiments with a Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine (Standard) and the coordinating Sweetly Sentimental cut dies. (save the rest of the sentiments for future creations)
  • Adhere the sentiment as shown with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Embellish with gold Adhesive-Backed Metallic Dots as shown.

If you've been curious about hot foiling, this is the perfect time to jump in. Designed exclusively for Stampin' Up! products, the new system makes it easy to add stunning metallic details with professional-looking results.

NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE RETIRED BLACK STAMPIN' UP! BIG SHOT. The Stampin’ Hot Foil System does not fit or work with the retired black Stampin' Up! Big Shot, it will only work in the current Stampin' Up! Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine (Standard). Although the machines use similarly sized cutting platforms, the Hot Foil System is approximately 1/8" too wide to pass through the Big Shot. Please do not attempt to force it through a Big Shot, as this could damage the machine or the Hot Foil System.
