Get ready to add a little metallic magic to your handmade cards! The NEW Stampin’ Hot Foil line from Stampin’ Up! is available tomorrow, July 10, and today’s card gives you a beautiful peek at the shine, detail, and wow factor this new system brings to paper crafting.

measure & cut (from bottom to top):

card base:

  • Secret Sea Cardstock: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4 (side)

layers (before die-cutting/punching):

  • Secret Sea Cardstock: 4 x 5 1/4
  • Secret Sea 2025-2027 In Color Designer Series Paper: 2 1/2 x 5 1/4
  • Basic White Cardstock: 2 1/4 x 5
  • Basic White Cardstock: 6 x 5 (for foiling)

hot foil:

  • Use the Stampin' Hot Foil System, Light Pink Foil, Butterfly Flight Hot Foil Dies and Sweetly Sentimental Hot Foil Dies to create the foiled butterflies and sentiment.

crop, cut, assemble, adhere (from bottom to top) & embellish:

  • Burnish the fold of the card base with a Bone Folder.
  • Adhere the Secret Sea layer to the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Layer and adhere the Basic White to the Designer Series Paper together and to the card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
  • Crop the butterflies and sentiments with a Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine (Standard) and the coordinating cut dies.
  • Adhere the butterflies and sentiment as shown with Stampin' Dimensionals and Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
  • Tie a bow of white Baker's Twine and secure under the sentiment with a Mini Glue Dot.
  • Embellish with Secret Sea Natural Matte Dots.

The NEW Stampin' Up! Hot Foil System is AVAILABLE, bringing beautiful foil accents and elegant shine to your handmade cards and paper crafting projects.

If you've been curious about hot foiling, this is the perfect time to jump in. Designed exclusively for Stampin' Up! products, the new system makes it easy to add stunning metallic details with professional-looking results.

NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE RETIRED BLACK STAMPIN' UP! BIG SHOT. The Stampin’ Hot Foil System does not fit or work with the retired black Stampin' Up! Big Shot, it will only work in the current Stampin' Up! Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine (Standard). Although the machines use similarly sized cutting platforms, the Hot Foil System is approximately 1/8" too wide to pass through the Big Shot. Please do not attempt to force it through a Big Shot, as this could damage the machine or the Hot Foil System.
