FREE Tutorial: Simple Masculine Birthday Card Idea

Clean, calm, and effortlessly handsome… today’s card proves that simple design can make a powerful impression. By dividing a beautiful landscape image into three panels, the scene becomes the star while the soft neutrals and natural textures keep everything relaxed and balanced.

product spotlight:

  • Simply Said Stamp Set - Item 169057 (new packaging)
  • Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paper - Item 166820
​

measure & cut (from bottom to top):

card base:

  • Crumb Cake Cardstock: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4

layers (before die-cutting):

  • Very Vanilla Cardstock: 5 1/4 x 4
  • Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paper: 4 3/4 x 3 3/4
  • Very Vanilla Cardstock: 4 x 1 (sentiment layer)

stamp (clear blocks or stamp positioning tool):

  • Stamp the sentiment (Simply Said Stamp Set) in Pecan Pie Ink onto the Very Vanilla Sentiment layer.

crop, cut, assemble, adhere & embellish:

  • Burnish the fold of the card base with a Bone Folder.
  • Use a Paper Trimmer to cut the Designer Series Paper at 1 1/4 and 2 1/4.
  • Adhere the 3 strips (in the order cut) with even 1/8 spacing to the Very Vanilla layer with Multipurpose Liquid Glue as shown.
  • Use a Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine (Standard or Mini) to crop the sentiment with the Textured Notes die.
  • Tie a bow of Crumb Cake Baker's Twine. Adhere as shown with a Mini Glue Dot.
  • Adhere the sentiment as shown Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Embellish with Crumb Cake Natural Matte Dots.
