SUNDAY SPOTLIGHT! A Round of Hellos Sample Step-by-Step!

Hello Reader,

Today I’m sharing a clean and cheerful card inspired by a beautiful Stampin’ Up! sample using the A Round of Hellos Stamp Set. I love how this design combines simple stamping, bold shapes and a fresh pop of color for a card that looks polished without being complicated.

To make it easy for you to recreate, I’m breaking the card down step-by-step so you can see exactly how each element comes together—from the stamped background to the layered focal point.

WHAT I LOVE!

• The layered circular focal point that frames the flower and instantly draws the eye
• The playful patterned background stamping that adds texture without bulk
• The clean horizontal layout that keeps the design balanced and modern
• The mix of soft florals and graphic shapes for a fresh, contemporary look
• How a few sparkling embellishments finish the card with just the right touch

measure & cut (from bottom to top):

card base:

  • Flirty Flamingo Cardstock - 6 x 7, scored at 3 1/2 (mini slimline)

layers (before die-cutting):

  • Basic White Cardstock - 3 1/4 x 6
  • Lost Lagoon Cardstock (circle) - 3 3/4 x 3 1/2
  • Basic White Cardstock (circle) - 3 1/2 x 3 1/4

stamp (clear blocks or stamp positioning tool):

  • Stamp the 3 1/4 x 6 background layer as shown using Lost Lagoon (dots) and Peach Pie (1/2 circle) Classic Ink.
  • Stamp the hello circle in Lost Lagoon ink onto the Lost Lagoon cardstock layer.
  • Stamp the following onto the Basic White layer (I recommend cropping it with the 2" Circle Punch before stamping):
    • Stamp the petals in Flirty Flamingo ink.
    • Stamp the flower center in Peach Pie ink.
    • Stamp the leaves in Shaded Spruce ink.

crop (Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine):

  • Crop the hello circle with the 2 3/8" Circle Punch.

assemble, adhere & embellish:

  • Burnish the fold of the mini slimline card base with a Bone Folder.
  • Adhere the stamped background layer to the card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
  • Adhere the two circles together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Embellish with Adhesive-Backed Metallic Gems.
