Beautiful paper makes simple card-making a breeze! Today’s Bonus Tutorial showcases Stampin’ Up!’s Autumn Opulence Specialty Designer Series Paper with an easy layout that lets the floral pattern shine.

A pair of Circle Punches creates a layered home for the “just saying hi” sentiment. Add a few cardstock strips, loops of twine, and a touch of sparkle for a lovely card to brighten someone’s day!

WHAT I LOVE!

  • Let the paper do the work! A generous panel of Designer Series Paper creates an instant backdrop.
  • Simple circles. Layered punched circles frame the greeting with minimal fuss.
  • Finishing touches. Looped twine and a few embellishments add texture without overwhelming the design.

measure & cut (from bottom to top):

card base:

  • Very Vanilla Card Stock: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4 (side)

layers (before die-cutting/punching):

  • Blackberry Bliss Cardstock: 3 3/4 x 5
  • Autumn Opulence Specialty Designer Series Paper: 3 1/2 x 4 3/4
  • Blackberry Bliss Cardstock: 3 x 3/4
  • Very Vanilla Cardstock: 3 1/2 x 1/4
  • Blackberry Bliss Cardstock: 3 1/4 x 3 (for circle)
  • Very Vanilla Cardstock: 3 x 2 1/2 (circle sentiment)

stamp (clear blocks or stamp positioner):

  • Stamp the sentiment (Poetic Petals Stamp Set) in Blackberry Bliss Classic Ink onto the Very Vanilla sentiment layer.

cut, assemble, adhere & embellish:

  • Burnish the folds of the card base with a Bone Folder.
  • Layer and adhere the Designer Series Paper and Blackberry Bliss layer together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and to the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Layer and adhere the Very Vanilla and Blackberry Bliss cardstock strips together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Crop the Blackberry Bliss Cardstock with the 2-3/8" Circle Punch. Adhere loops of Very Vanilla Baker's Twine to the back of the circle with Stampin' Seal and to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Crop the sentiment with the 2" Circle Punch and adhere with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Embellish with 3 Golden Glow Radiant Gems.
