A Card Idea & Tutorial using Brushed with Beauty from Stampin' Up!


Hello Reader,

Today’s card brings yesterday’s exclusive sketch to life — featuring Sneak Peek products from the upcoming Brushed with Beauty Suite Collection, part of the next Stampin’ Up! Online Exclusives (available Nov. 4). The soft florals, warm stripes, and layered details come together effortlessly to create a heartfelt “Because You’re a Great Friend” card that’s as easy to make as it is to give.

The Brushed with Beauty Suite Collection includes everything you need to create eye-catching handmade cards and scrapbook pages with soft florals, layered textures, and heartfelt messages. You’ll love the muted color palette, elegant Designer Series Paper, and coordinating stamps, dies, and embellishments.


measure & cut (from bottom to top):

card base:

  • Crumb Cake Cardstock: 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 5 1/2

layers (from bottom to top & before die-cutting):

  • Very Vanilla Cardstock: 3 3/4 x 5
  • Brushed with Beauty Designer Series Paper: 3 1/2 x 4 3/4
  • Very Vanilla Cardstock: 2 1/4 x 4 1/4
  • Brushed with Beauty Designer Series Paper: 2 x 4
  • Very Vanilla Cardstock (sentiment): 3 3/4 x 3/4 (before die-cutting)
  • Very Vanilla Cardstock: 4 x 1 3/4 (before die-cutting)
  • Mossy Meadow Cardstock: 4 x 1 3/4 (before die-cutting)

stamp:

  • Use a Clear Block H or Stamp Positioning Tool to stamp the sentiment (Words of Beauty Stamp Set) in Mossy Meadow Classic Ink onto the Very Vanilla sentiment layer.

crop & cut:

assemble & adhere:

  • Burnish the fold of the card base with a Bone Folder.
  • Adhere both sets of Very Vanilla and Designer Series Paper layers together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Adhere the Mossy Meadow "because" to the Very Vanilla drop shadow with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
  • Adhere the sentiment and die-cuts to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

embellish:

  • Add a bow of Very Vanilla Baker's Twine tucked under die-cuts, as shown, with a Mini Glue Dot.
  • Embellish with 3 Crumb Cake Pearls of Beauty.
