Sunday Bonus Tutorial: Simple, Sweet & Wildly Cute

Sometimes the simplest cards make the biggest impression. This Sunday Bonus Tutorial features the adorable Wild Bunch Stamp Set—June's Product of the Month—and proves that a few well-chosen elements can create a card that's both charming and memorable.

I paired the playful highland cow image with classic black-and-white patterns for a clean, crisp look that lets the stamp take center stage. A touch of Baker's Twine and a simple "Hi, Friend" greeting finish it off perfectly. OH SNAP! The Wild Bunch Stamp Set just sold out (and is now retired) but you can substitute any adorable stamp image!

measure & cut (from bottom to top):

card base:

  • Basic White Thick Cardstock: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4 (side)

layers (before die-cutting/punching):

  • Paper Medley Mix-In Designer Series Paper: 3 3/4 x 5
  • Paper Medley Mix-In Designer Series Paper: 3 3/4 x 1 1/2
  • Basic White Cardstock: 3 x 2 3/4
  • Basic White Cardstock: 1 3/8 x 1/2

envelope flap:

  • Paper Medley Mix-In Designer Series Paper: 5 3/4 x 2 1/4

stamp (clear blocks or stamp positioning tool):

  • Stamp the highland cow and sentiment in Basic Black Hybrid Ink onto the coordinating Basic White Cardstock pieces.

crop, cut, assemble, adhere (from bottom to top) & embellish:

  • Burnish the fold of the card base with a Bone Folder.
  • Layer and adhere the two Designer Series Paper pieces together and to the card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
  • Crop the highland cow with the 2 3/8" Circle Punch. Adhere with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Adhere the sentiment with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and a Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Tie a bow of black Baker's Twine and adhere tucked under the corner with a Mini Glue Dot.

envelope:

  • Adhere the 5 3/4 x 2 1/4 Designer Series Paper to a Basic White Medium envelope flap with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Tip: Add glue to the flap, not the Designer Series Paper.
