Yesterday’s exclusive sketch comes to life with the gorgeous texture of Velvet Meadow Specialty Designer Series Paper. The three-panel design showcases the paper beautifully while keeping the layout clean and easy to recreate.

A simple Berry Burst band, a sweet sentiment from the Scalloped Blooms Stamp Set, and a Rounded Rectangle Punch label add the perfect finishing touches. These cards prove that a few well-chosen elements can create a striking handmade card with plenty of texture and charm.

measure & cut (from bottom to top):

card base:

  • Basic White Thick Cardstock: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4 (side)

layers (before punching):

  • Peaceful Pine Cardstock: 3 1/2 x 4 3/4
  • Velvet Meadow Specialty Designer Series Paper: 3 x 4 1/2, then cut into 1" strips
  • Berry Burst Cardstock: 3 1/2 x 2
  • Basic White Cardstock: 2 1/2 x 1 3/4

envelope flap:

  • Velvet Meadow Specialty Designer Series Paper: 5 3/4 x 2 1/4

stamp (clear blocks or stamp positioning tool):

  • Stamp the sentiment (Scalloped Blooms Stamp Set) in Berry Burst Classic Ink onto the Basic White Cardstock layer.

crop, cut, assemble, adhere & embellish:

  • Burnish the fold of the card base with a Bone Folder.
  • Adhere the Designer Series Paper strips to the Peaceful Pine Cardstock layer and to the card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. TIP! Watch my video here: 3 quick tips for lining up strips.
  • Wrap the Berry Burst layer with White Baker's Twine, securing on the left with a bow.
  • Adhere the Berry Burst layer to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Crop the sentiment with the Rounded Rectangle Punch. Adhere with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Embellish with Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels.

envelope:

  • Adhere the 5 3/4 x 2 1/4 Designer Series Paper to a Basic White Medium envelope flap with Stampin' Seal. Tip: Add glue to the flap, not the Designer Series Paper.
