SUNDAY SPOTLIGHT! Fragrant Layers Sample Step-by-Step!

Hello Reader,

If you love a clean & simple card with a little texture and polish, you’re going to want to save today’s inspiration!

This beautiful card is a Stampin’ Up! sample created with the NEW Fragrant Layers Bundle, and it’s the perfect design to CASE. The layered florals, the bright pop of color, the stitched sentiment label, and that simple twine bow come together for a card that feels fresh, artistic, and totally doable.

And the best part? I’m sharing the exact dimensions and step-by-step instructions so you can recreate it in your own craft room.

measure & cut (from bottom to top):

card base:

  • Pecan Pie Cardstock - 5 x 7, scored at 3 1/2 (notecard size)

layers (before die-cutting):

  • Basic White Cardstock - 3 x 4 3/4
  • Basic Black Cardstock - 2 1/4 x 3/4
  • Darling Duckling Cardstock - 2 1/2 x 2

stamp (clear blocks or stamp positioning tool):

  • Stamp the sentiment (Fragrant Layers Stamp Set) in Versamark Ink onto the Basic Black layer. Cover with white Basics WOW! Embossing Powder. Set with a Heat Tool.
  • Randomly stamp the single flower image in Pecan Pie ink onto the card base as shown.
  • Stamp the large floral outline image in Jet Black Stazon Ink onto the Basic White cardstock.
  • Add the color to the floral image by stamping the flower layers in Pretty Peacock ink and the greenery layers in Old Olive ink.

crop (Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine):

  • Crop the sentiment with the coordinating Fragrant Layers label die.
  • Crop the Darling Duckling with the coordinating Fragrant Layers petal die (small group of 7).

assemble, adhere & embellish:

  • Burnish the fold of the note card base with a Bone Folder.
  • Wrap the Basic White layer with white Baker's Twine, securing with a bow. Adhere to the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Adhere the three Darling Duckling flowers to the stamped flower centers as shown with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Adhere the sentiment with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Embellish with Old Olive Moody Palette Glossy Dots.
