The first card offers a playful take on the layout using the sweet mushrooms, greenery and cheerful critters from the Cute as a Bug Designer Series Paper. The second is a favorite from 2025, featuring the rich patterns and artistic details of the Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paper.

I love how the three-panel design gives Designer Series Paper plenty of room to shine while the layered sentiment creates a strong focal point. The same measurements and layout work beautifully for whimsical, elegant—or practically any—style!

measure & cut (from bottom to top):

card base:

  • Basic White Thick Cardstock: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4 (top)

layers (before die-cutting/punching):

  • Mossy Meadow Cardstock: 5 1/8 x 3 7/8
  • Cute as a Bug Designer Series Paper: 5 x 3 3/4
  • Basic White Cardstock: 4 3/8 x 3 1/8
  • Mossy Meadow Cardstock: 4 1/4 x 3
  • Cute as a Bug Cardstock: 3 3/4 x 2 3/4, then cut into 1 1/4 strips
  • Mossy Meadow Cardstock: 3 1/2 x 1 1/8
  • Cute as a Bug Cardstock: 3 3/8 x 1
  • Basic White Cardstock: 3 1/4 x 7/8 (sentiment)

envelope flap:

  • Cute as a Bug Designer Series Paper: 5 3/4 x 2 1/4

stamp (clear blocks or stamp positioner):

  • Stamp the sentiment (Sweet Bugs Stamp Set) in Poppy Parade Classic Ink onto the Basic White Cardstock layer.

cut, assemble, adhere & embellish:

  • Burnish the folds of the card base with a Bone Folder.
  • Layer and adhere the checkered Designer Series Paper and Mossy Meadow Cardstock together and to the card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
  • Layer and adhere the Mossy Meadow and Basic White Cardstock together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Adhere the three panels of Designer Series Paper to the Mossy Meadow layer as shown with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. HOT TIP! See my 3 tips for lining up strips here.
  • Layer and adhere the Mossy Meadow, Cute as Bug Designer Series Paper and sentiment together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Tie a bow of Linen Thread and adhere tucked under the sentiment with a Mini Glue Dot.
  • Use a Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine (Standard or Mini) to crop the two bugs from the Designer Series Paper with the coordinating Sweet Bugs Dies.
  • Embellish with 3 clear Ladybug Garden Epoxy Shapes.
